What this covers

This policy explains what data Verso collects, how it is stored, and the choices you have. Verso is operated from India ("we", "us").

Data we store

If you use Verso as a guest (not signed in), your resumes, job applications and preferences stay entirely in your browser, in localStorage and IndexedDB. Nothing is sent to our servers, and we have no way to see or recover it — clearing your browser data deletes it for good.

If you sign in, your account is authenticated through Supabase Auth, and your resumes, groups, job applications and version-control (git) history are stored in our Supabase database so they sync across your devices. PDF export happens entirely in your browser — your resume content is never uploaded just to generate a PDF. Signed-in users also keep a working copy in the browser (IndexedDB), and changes made offline are queued in localStorage until they can be synced.

A small number of local preferences, such as your light/dark theme choice, are kept in your browser's localStorage and are not sent anywhere.

Cookies and tracking

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run any analytics or tracking scripts. The only browser storage we use is the localStorage/ IndexedDB described above, which holds your own resume data and preferences, plus the sign-in session that Supabase Auth keeps in your browser while you are logged in.

Third parties

Supabase — authentication and cloud storage for signed-in accounts.
Cloudflare — hosts the site.
Google Fonts — loads the typefaces used in your chosen resume template. When a font loads, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address.
Our payment partner, which acts as the merchant of record, handles billing, taxes and refunds for paid plans. We do not store your card details.

Your rights

Open Your data from the account menu at any time to download a full copy of your data — resumes, groups, job applications and preferences — as a single JSON file, or to permanently delete it. Guests can clear all local data from this browser; signed-in users can delete their account and everything stored in the cloud, including files in our git-history storage bucket. Both actions take effect immediately and cannot be undone.

If you are in the EU or UK, you have rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR, including the right to access, correct, export and erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Contact us at the address above to exercise these rights.

This service is operated from India, and personal data is handled in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
